A little bit of Noah

I have three videos that are pretty adorable. I just wanted to post some things that Noah is doing lately, and give everyone a little treat of Noah! (I was just informed that the video's are pretty boring... sorry! I will try to get better ones up.)

Have a great day!

New Job

Ben and I have been living life for 4 months now without any income at all. We decided that it would be good for Ben to stop working on all side projects and work solely on a personal project at the beginning of January. That was to go on for three months, and then he would get back into free lance work.

We saved up enough money to get us through March, and with the help of my parents 'for allowing us to live with them rent free' it was possible for us to do this. Because of that we only had to pay a small amount in bills each month. Ben began looking for work in March hoping that we would have a paying job by the end of the month.

Unfortunately, we had some big things come up that took the already depleted savings account into absolutely nothing! The biggest set backs were medical bills from my surgery in January, our trip to Oregon, and taxes! All of a sudden we were coming quickly into April with no means to pay our bills. Some bills went unpaid for a couple weeks, and we truly couldn't spend anything! No eating out, definitely no shopping... we were having difficulty buying things that were necessity.

Ben did get some jobs lined up at the beginning of April. We are just now receiving small payments from those. Though the little bit really does count right now, I was thrilled to hear about this new opportunity for Ben.

I don't know much about the actual job... I was mainly focused on the money and how often we would be receiving the money! :) It is awesome! The company wanted to hire him on as a full-time salaried employee instead of doing contract work for them, which is great because we get extra benefits with that. They are going to be providing health benefits, 401K plan, paid vacation... oh and that little thing called "Guaranteed Income!" Just having health benefits through them will save us so much money!

It is definitely an answer to prayer. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us through this situation. We are a little behind now, but at least we are heading in the right direction. We just need to stay disciplined and smart with out finances so we can get out of the mess we got ourselves into.
