Blue Mesa

I enjoyed a fabulous trip to Blue Mesa for a family reunion this weekend. It was filled with lots of food, trips to the lake, splashing around in the swimming pool, and of course, my favorite... playing card games with grandma!

It was also amazing to take Noah and experience the joy of watching him having a blast! He loved the swimming pool. He was throwing around the beach balls, and jumping off the edge of the pool into mommy and daddy's arms. He ran around outside with such delight. The boy was dirty the entire time, and it was awesome! He got to experience riding in the boat... which included seeing some ducks, learning what everything was, waving at people in the other boats, and fishing!

We had some quality family time. We enjoyed laughing and catching up with everyone. Playing with all the kids, and getting to experience another generation. For as long as I can remember, I was the youngest generation... and we had 14 kids there this time! It is so amazing to see how family will always continue to grow.

LONGEST WEEK EVER!

This week has been crazy!

Ben left for San Francisco last Saturday the 27th for a week. The 26th we signed a lease to our new place. So I decided that while Ben was gone, I could keep myself busy by moving everything over, and getting it all set up. I didn't realize how much we actually had! I thought that we had sold pretty much everything before Hawaii, but when I started going through the storage room and the garage... I came up with mounds of stuff!

I slowly took loads over, came back and realized that I had another entire car full of stuff to go. I had about 7 car loads, plus my dad and my brother each had a truck full. I started Sunday the 28th, and just spent a few hours there during Noah's nap. As the week continued, I knew I needed to spend more time there, or it was going to take forever to get it all set up.

Meanwhile, my grandpa was in town, so I gave up my room for him, and slept on a mattress in the family room. I kept feeling like spiders were all over me, and the clock kept dinging... I did that for two nights, and slept pretty poorly. That didn't help at all for my energy level.

Alas, I have one more load to take over, and then I am all done! I thought that moving things over slowly would be nice because I wouldn't have to rush, but I kind of think that it is worse because I felt like I was never making any progress.

Pictures soon to follow!

Happy 4th!
