Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving dinner with the Leonard family this year. It was nice to have the whole gang together. Too bad we couldn't get Noah to look at the camera. That kid is just too distracted these days! We had a great time.Natasha's Birthday Party

Emily had Natasha's party at Gymboree. It was really cool because the kids got 45 minutes of play time and then 45 minutes of cake and gifts time. It was really organized. There was a teacher playing games with the kids while they were in the gym. They all had so much fun.My Gingerbread Pumpkin Cake

There is this place in downtown Portland called Papa Hydens. They specialize in all these fancy desserts. It is awesome because they work really hard on presentation. There was a group of 6 girls that went. We all got something different and passed our desserts around so we could taste everything. It was a lot of fun.The little cousins

This is what Ben loves so much about Oregon. The vegetation! This is a photo right outside Emily's apartment. What a view! Right behind all these trees is a street. The streets are lined with trees. It is really quite pretty.Bath Time

Noah and Natasha had their first bath together. The two of them loved playing together. They got along really well. Noah just watched Natasha playing, and Natasha was playing trying to entertain Noah. Too fun!Water Front Park, Portland

This is the Water Front Park in Portland. Behind us is the Willamette River. The River divides the North/South. They have a huge walk way that goes from the West/East sides. It is really pretty. Emily and I are with the kiddos enjoying a beautiful morning.Portland Christmas Tree

We were walking around Downtown Portland, and they were setting up the Christmas Tree. What was funny is that they were cutting lower branches off and reattaching them in the bare spots to make the tree look fuller. No wonder how they always get the perfect Christmas Tree. It is made perfect. Our little rookie

Noah is the newest addition to the Bronco fan club! He trys to enjoy the games with us, but usually just plays with his toys. It is so funny because whenever we cheer or scream, Noah gets really scared and cries. He always sports the Bronco gear though.Noah's first two teeth!

Noah cut his first two teeth this week! This is so exciting. Unfortunetly, he got a cold at the same time so it has been an emotional week for the two of us. He has been extremely congested and now has a cough, plus he is dealing with the pain of the teeth coming in. Over all, he has been in a pretty good mood though. Nursing has also gotten a lot harder, because Noah bites! We are trying to work through that as well.Noah's first cold

Noah got his first cold a couple days ago. I feel so bad for him. I know exactly what it is like to be congested and have a runny nose. He is doing so good though. He can still smile for me even when he feels bad. What a champ! I can tell how run down he is because I put him in his jumper and he just sits there, when usually he won't stop jumping until we get him out. He has some trouble eating because he can hardly breathe through his nose. These are the things as a parent you wish you could keep them from. I guess it is good that his immune system is starting to work to defend against stuff like this.Moody Monday's

I have officially decided that Monday's are the hardest day of the week for me. The weekends are the best time for Noah because he gets to be held and played with ALL the time by friends and family. Unfortunetly for mom and dad, we have to take care of a real crabby pants on Monday's because we get back into the grove of things and Noah has to have his 'alone time' as I call it. So on Monday's he cries and cries all day until someone picks him up. It is pretty stressful since I have to do laundry and cleaning on Monday's. After Monday, he is fine. He knows he has to spend time by himself and he does a great job entertaining himself. Then the weekend comes again :) Today, he kept getting the bible off the coffee table and chewing on it. I had to dicipline him everytime he did it, and boy was he even more angry. It is really hard to take this new step in parenting. You never know at his age what he understands and what he is still too young for. Geez!! Even on the harder days though, he makes me so happy. He loves snuggling on Monday's :) So when I get the chance to snuggle, I eat it up because any other time he is such a busy body he won't take the time to hug me unless he is tired or just woke up from a nap.Our little pea

Noah had his first halloween! He was our little pea. We went to the church for a little bit, but he was still a little young to play any games. Then we went home and celebrated Brian's birthday. I am excited to get into fall now and celebrate the holidays with Noah.
