NO!

It's official! My sweet charming little baby is long gone, replaced with the lovely attitude of a two year old. I love the fact Noah is learning, growing and changing, but at times I miss that innocent baby that loved me no matter what.

Noah is learning that he doesn't want hugs and kisses all the time anymore. He also doesn't want to have anything to do with snuggling with mommy if anyone else is around. He wants to snuggle with everyone but ME. He is throwing fits if he can't feed himself entirely. He complains about what I am giving him to eat. Throwing tantrums when he doesn't get to do something he wants... like falling to the ground and rolling around! He doesn't want to hold my hand if we are walking around in public. Anything and everything is that he wants his INDEPENDENCE!

The hardest part of all of this is that he tells me "NO!" A full blown No! from his precious mouth! I hear him yelling No when he is in his bed right before or after his nap. He is screaming No at his Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle, Aunt, and especially mom and dad. He is growing rapidly and is still so lovable and sweet... but there are those times (and they are far more often than I like) I think "What has happened to my baby? How can he being so nasty?"

I am moving into a very different stage of parenthood, and ready or not... IT IS HERE!

The Havels Says:

Oh Boy! Have fun, and realize it's only a stage. It's not that the sweetness is long gone, it's that he only thinks about himself; what he wants and feels. And if his needs aren't being met, he's mad about it and doesn't know how to handle it emotionally. Nows the time to bring to his attention how others feel when he acts the way he does and how he can or cannot handle his emotions. Have fun and work hard, you will eventually see results.
