The second month

Most of June was spent searching for houses, slowly packing things up, and finally moving into a new rental. Our big reason for moving was for the extra space. We have four bedrooms now, three on the upper level, and one (Ben's office) in the basement. We also have a fenced backyard with grass for Noah to run around in. I am very excited to get things going here now.

Unfortunately, the house was a huge mess after we signed the lease. We were told a walk through had been done, and that it looked good... wrong. I was crying hysterically when we first saw it, and realized that there was no way out. I filled out a report, and we got someone in to clean two days later. For three days we had people in here cleaning. It is finally "move in ready." The main level carpet has been shampooed three times, and still looks bad. The paint job is awful, and there are holes, scratches, and stains everywhere! Oh yeah, and we have about 10 outstanding work orders for random things that need fixed.

So now, after a week of being here, I can finally say I have unpacked our things, and it is beginning to feel like home. Hopefully everything will get taken care of soon, and we won't have to communicate with our Property Management Company until the end of our lease. Based on the state of what we came into, and the lack of communication on the Property Management's part, I would not recommend using Clemente Real Estate Services to anyone.

On to some better things now.

Summer is here, and it is busy. Most of our friends are out of town! It has been hard to find people to hangout with. Not that we could anyway. Noah has been sick. Horribly sick for almost two weeks now. I feel so bad for him, and I am not sure how much more vomit and poo I can clean up! Because of this, we have been trying really hard to keep him away from Ezra. I am terrified to feed him because I worry he will throw it up, and now he is taking advantage of that because he can get my attention immediately if he says his tummy hurts. He has been good the last few days, so hopefully we are one the mend!

Now for little Ezra :)

Milestones:
-Cooing, squeaking and smiling
-Found her thumb
-Rolling from tummy to back
-Interested in toys
-More aware of her hands. She is bringing them to her mouth, close to chewing on them I think.
-Sleeping through the night!!

Exciting stuff!
